In the recent circular, dated April 5, 2019, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared that students seeking direct admissions in class X or XII might face a challenge as the guidelines to the direct admissions have been made rigid. Also, there will be a fee charged for the confirmation which ranges between 1000/ - to 5000/-. The Board and Schools were suffering because they had to do a lot of paperwork due to these direct admissions as the registration for Board Examination happens in class IX/XI.

However, there are certain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are there to formalize the process. Parents have to provide the documents in the below-mentioned situations after which students can apply for direct admission.

  • Shifting/Transfer of Parent(s) or Family

  • Shifting to or from Hostel

  • Re-admission due to Fail/ Absenteeism/ Compartment

  • Better Education

  • Long Distance
